Dino Agbayani: Surfing Aficionado

Dino Agbayani is a major fan of riding the waves. Surfing has been a favorite hobby for him since he moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to attend the University of Hawaii. While a resident of the great state of Hawaii, he found immense pleasure in being able to drive a few blocks from his dorm to hit some of the world’s most impressive and suspenseful waves.

While living in Hawaii, Dino Agbayani was a journalism student who put in major hours every day working for the school newspaper while simultaneously staying up late to study for his exams. When there was a break in the busy and hectic schedule he held for more than 4 years as a UH student, he could often be found on the beach, awaiting the next wave.

Surfing has been practiced by people all around the world for thousands of years. Some of the earliest surfers are believed to be from the Hawaiian Islands, where Dino Agbayani attended college. Today, surfing is popular across the globe among people from nearly every stratum of society and economic class. Often compared to skateboarding, surfing requires quite a bit of practice.

According to Dino Agbayani, the best way to become proficient at surfing is to practice regularly. If you live near a beach, then you’ll most likely have the ability to surf practically anytime you please. However, if you live in a landlocked area, the ability to surf may be limited to man-made beaches, which are not necessarily as ideal surfing grounds as compared to natural beaches.
